This is a wonderful vintage hand saw in great condition that would make a
great addition to any carpenter’s tool shed! It would even display nicely in a
man cave!
Made by the Simonds Saw Mfg Co., Warranted, Patented Dec 27, 1887. The blade
is 26" in length, and the widest part (at the bottom of the blade) is 6.5",
then tapers to 2.5". Total length of the saw is 29".
It has a decorated hand-carved wooden handle with Simonds medallion emblem
embedded, plus 4 other screws surrounding it.
The blade is in very good condition, no broken teeth, some surface rust.
Handle is completely intact and tight to blade with all 5 original working
screws. There is a chip on one of the upper horns/ears (see pic). There are 3
cracks on the frontside of the handle. Saw is fairly straight.
