Very nice vintage 26 inch Henry Disston straight backed rip saw, made between
1911 - 1928. One of their top of the line models. Signature high quality
polished steel, apple wood handle and 4 brass screws. One inch medallion reads
DISSTON PHILA. Marked 6 points per inch. Clear and readable etch. Nice and
straight with great nib. Not recently sharpened, if ever. Handle shows wear,
dings, scratches and paint flecks/spots. Measures 2.75 inches at the toe and
7.5 inches at the heel (perpendicular to the teeth.) The blade is about 26" and
in total with the handle the whole saw is about 30-1/2"
