Takagi's small kataba woodworking single-edged saw is a handy tool for doing
small jobs around the house or on the desk and is suited for deep cuts and
general purpose use. To make storage easier and remove the need to sharpen or
repair a dull or broken saw, the blade can be connected or detached from the
handle. In some instances, thin kerf is a benefit for Japanese pull saws since
it removes less wood material than western type hand saws, allowing for more
precise cuts.
This tool features a single-sided sharp blade with 22 teeth/30mm that allows
for precise detail crosscutting on a range of woods. It has no spine on the
blade which makes it easy and quick to cut off a big chunk of wood. Replacement
blade for this product is sold separately.
