Takagi's single-edged Shark Saw features a narrow blade that creates an
extremely thin kerf, requiring less effort when sawing. Compared to push saws,
Japanese pull saws are lighter, need less effort, and produce a cleaner edge.
It provides you a completely new experience from using traditional Japanese
style saws and allows you to produce a broader variety of woodworking goods,
whether you are a master or a novice in utilizing saws. The saw blade can be
readily removed and replaced (replacement blade sold separately).
The blade is designed to be used for both vertical grinding along the grain
and horizontal grinding that cuts the grain. The blade's impact quenching and
clear coat finish make it extremely robust. The blade of this tool is
constructed of SK85 steel, which is a strong, impact-resistant steel. It has a
good corrosion resistance and an amazing edge since it is carbon steel with a
carbon content of less than 1%, making it a highly hard steel with excellent
edge retention. To make sawing more comfortable, the wooden handle is covered
in rattan.
