So, What do these New Mark IV Saw Frames Offer?

The Frame
Saw frame flex is a big culprit in breaking sawblades. The Mark IV frames are
designed to pull 50–60 pounds of tension on their blades, which makes them much
stronger and the blades vibrate less than than the Mark 3 saws. They are are
also thicker and slightly heavier, closer to the weight of a traditional saw,
but still lighter. The saw is powder-coated red, with a laser engraved logo and
is extremely scratch and damage resistant. That rigidity also translates into
better control over your sawblade.

Color
Red saw frame. Why red? A recent study published in Science magazine suggests
color has an effect on cognitive tasks. Data indicates the color red promotes
better accuracy when performing tasks. Sawing is definitely an area you want
accuracy.

Efficiency with the Cam Lever Tension
The saw frame is not adjustable. It is designed for use with standard length
jewelers' sawblades. This eliminates and adjusting or "fiddling" with loose
frames when you are trying to fit a blade. This saw frame features the amazing
Cam Lever. The Cam Lever allows for the quick tensioning of sawblades. You just
insert a sawblade and tighten, then use the Tension Screw to "pre-tension" the
blade. Then by flipping the Cam Lever over 180deg., the blade gets a locked
into its final tension position. Now anytime you need to replace an blade, just
release the Cam Lever, change the blade and reset the Cam Lever. You are ready
to go. No need to readjust the tension. Saves you tons of time and aggravation.
