Why Damascus Steel - Damascus steel is a type of steel easily recognizable by
its wavy patterned design. Aside from its sleek look and beautiful aesthetics,
Damascus steel is highly valued as it is hard and flexible while maintaining a
sharp edge. Weapons forged from Damascus steel were far superior to those
formed from just iron.

How to Damascus Steel- All of our Damascus is original and not acid-etched.
The composition of Damascus is made up of 1095HC and 15N20 nickel carbon. The
bars are heated with each other, then folded over and over to achieve the
desired number of layers. Ours is 300 layers. As soon as you burn the blade in
acid, the nickel is turned into a satin finish and the high carbon will turn
blackish gray.


Why Rose Wood- It is a hard timber, and in comparison with English oak, is
about 25 per cent stronger in bending and in compression along the grain, 15
per cent stiffer, and 20 per cent more resistant to suddenly applied loads.
